Job Title: Senior Building Safety Consultant

A well-established and respected construction consultancy is looking for a Senior Building Safety Consultant to join its high-performing Project & Programme Services team. Role Overview:
As a Senior Building Safety Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping clients meet their responsibilities under the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended) and the Building Safety Act 2022. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, conduct compliance audits, advise on design safety, and support regulatory submissions-bringing your expertise to projects that shape the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients and internal teams on compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
Deliver the Principal Designer role as defined in the Building Regulations.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure design and construction compliance.
Review and analyse building regulation submission packages and perform gap analysis.
Contribute to and potentially lead training on regulatory compliance.
Keep current with legislative updates and best practice changes.
Class 2/3 Registered Building Inspector (not essential but advantageous).
Experience with PAS45001 and integrated management systems.
A portfolio of experience across various building types.
What You'll Bring:
Strong understanding of Building Regulations and secondary legislation.
Technically sound with design and construction knowledge.
Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in a building safety, control, or compliance role.
Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and professional outlook.
Full UK driving licence.
