Job summary

Brandon James is seeking a Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer to lead a small team of two former Architects turned Principal Designers, delivering projects across HRB and non-HRB workstreams. You will refine Building Regulations information management processes and drive continuous QA improvements.

The role offers a negotiable salary up to £75,000 per annum, plus bonus, pension, season-ticket loan, health care, gym membership and a corporate incentive scheme. Ref: GC79045

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a qualified Architect.
• Registered Principal Designer via RIBA, CIAT or APS.
• Demonstrable experience creating processes for Building Regulation information management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Regulations compliance through design coordination.
• Coordinate risk-based reviews and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Manage regulatory submissions and change control.
• Oversee HRB Gateway and Golden Thread compliance.

A Construction Consultancy with a strong industry reputation are hiring a Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer to lead their team. You will manage a team of two former Architects turned Principal Designers and work on a mix of large and smaller projects, across both HRB and non-HRBs, across a varied portfolio.

They already have an established process for the management of Building Regulations, although you will have the opportunity to refine processes.

They have strong demand from their client base which will allow for a high ceiling of progression for the Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer.

The Role

• Lead Building Regulations compliance through design coordination, risk-based reviews, multidisciplinary interfaces, regulatory submissions, change control, HRB Gateway and Golden Thread requirements, reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of QA systems.

The Person

• The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will have at least 5 years of experience as a qualified Architect.
• The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will be a registered Principal Designer via RIBA, CIAT or APS.
• The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will have demonstratable experience of creating processes for Building Regulation information management.
