Job summary

Brandon James recruiting a Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer in London. You will lead a small team of two architects-turned-designers, guiding Building Regulations compliance across HRB and non-HRB projects on a varied portfolio.

With at least 5 years as a qualified Architect and registered Principal Designer via RIBA, CIAT or APS, you will refine information management processes and deliver high-quality regulatory submissions, reporting, and improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Architect with RIBA/CIAT/APS registration.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as Architect.
• Experience delivering Building Regulations submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Regulations compliance through design coordination and risk-based reviews.
• Oversee multidisciplinary interfaces, regulatory submissions and change control.
• Drive HRB Gateway and Golden Thread compliance and QA improvements.

Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer

A Construction Consultancy with a strong industry reputation are hiring a Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer to lead their team. You will manage a team of two former Architects turned Principal Designers and work on a mix of large and smaller projects, across both HRB and non-HRBs, across a varied portfolio.

They already have an established process for the management of Building Regulations, although you will have the opportunity to refine processes.

They have strong demand from their client base which will allow for a high ceiling of progression for the Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer.

The Role

Lead Building Regulations compliance through design coordination, risk-based reviews, multidisciplinary interfaces, regulatory submissions, change control, HRB Gateway and Golden Thread requirements, reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of QA systems.

The Person

The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will have at least 5 years of experience as a qualified Architect.

The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will be a registered Principal Designer via RIBA, CIAT or APS.

The Senior Building Regulation Principal Designer suitable for this role will have demonstratable experience of creating processes for Building Regulation information management.
