Job summary

Preston Partnership is seeking a Senior Building Inspector to manage a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects in Preston and surrounding areas. You will assess schemes for compliance with Building Regulations and related legislation, offer expert advice, and support the enforcement team.

The role requires Registration as a Class 2 Building Inspector and a Building Control qualification (RICS/CABE or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Registered Building Inspector status at Class 2 level (Category A-D and above).
• Professional Building Control Qualification (RICS, CABE or equivalent).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; excellent organisation and prioritising abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide plan checking and site inspections for residential and commercial projects.
• Identify on-site contraventions of building regulations and support enforcement actions.
• Deliver customer-focused service and provide technical knowledge to enforcement team.
