Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a specialist focus on building drainage to join its team on a permanent basis. You will design above and below-ground drainage systems, produce drainage strategies and work across early design to construction delivery.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in building drainage, strong regulatory knowledge (Part H), and experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' relevant experience in building drainage design.
• Strong knowledge of Part H Building Regulations.
• Experience delivering civil engineering designs in a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of foul and surface water drainage.
• Experience coordinating designs within multidisciplinary building projects.
• Chartered status is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Design above and below-ground building drainage systems.
• Produce drainage strategies and detailed designs.
• Coordinate drainage designs with architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications and calculations.
• Support projects from concept through to construction.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Review technical work and support junior engineers.
• Take responsibility for project deliverables and deadlines.
