Job summary

AEROCONTACT is seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to deliver high-quality building control services at the UK's flagship airport. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to enhance team knowledge. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, relevant qualifications, and experience in commercial buildings.

Qualifications

  • Registered Building Inspector at Class 3G or 3H level (Class 2F considered).
  • Degree in building control or a related field.
  • Full membership in a relevant professional institution.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and assessing submitted plans for compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Conducting on-site inspections to verify construction compliance.
  • Coordinating consultations and assessments for overall compliance.
  • Developing and delivering guidance and training.
  • Maintaining and improving the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management system.

The Senior Building Control Surveyor is a key role at the UK’s flagship airport, responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused building control services. The role involves ensuring compliance with the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010, and Building (Registered Building Control Approvers, etc.) (England) 2024. The ideal candidate will be experienced and technically proficient, with responsibilities including:

  1. Reviewing and assessing submitted plans for compliance with Building Regulations and standards.
  2. Conducting on-site inspections to verify construction compliance.
  3. Coordinating consultations and assessments for overall compliance.
  4. Developing and delivering guidance and training to enhance team and customer knowledge.
  5. Maintaining and improving the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management system.

Qualifications include:

  1. Registered Building Inspector at Class 3G or 3H level (Class 2F considered).
  2. A degree in building control or a related field.
  3. Full membership in a relevant professional institution (RICS, CABE, CIOB, CIBSE).
