A leading local authority is seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to manage construction projects across Cannock Chase and Stafford. The role requires strong knowledge of building regulations and the ability to supervise a dedicated team. Cannock Chase Council operates a shared service arrangement with Stafford Borough Council to provide the Building Control service for both Councils. We seek an experienced Building Control Surveyor capable of managing a range of construction projects within these areas.
Applicants should possess the relevant skills, experience, and commitment. Membership of a professional body such as CABE, CIOB, or RICS is required. Familiarity with Building Control regulations and registration with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2 Category A - E Building Inspector is essential.
Our strong building control team is dedicated to providing excellent service. Team members work independently according to their competency levels and are supported by dedicated administrative staff.
Ideal candidates will have experience in Building Control, knowledge of building regulations and legislation, and excellent communication skills. Ability to supervise and develop team members, including trainees and other inspectors, is important.
