Senior Building Control Surveyor - Brentwood Borough Council

Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £47,156 – £51,364 per annum + Market Supplement: £8,000 per annum (reviewed after 12 months)

Location: Brentwood

Join our successful Building Control team to ensure building compliance and resident safety. We seek a qualified or experienced Building Control professional to manage a variety of projects, including large housing and commercial developments, while building relationships with architects and developers.

Brentwood is a vibrant borough offering excellent transport links, green spaces, and cultural events, ideal for professionals seeking a dynamic environment.

Requirements include a degree in Building Surveying or similar, full membership of MRICS, MCABE, or MCIOB, and registration with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2 or 3. Candidates should be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and experience in Building Control legislation and enforcement. A registered building inspector (minimum Class 2, Category A) is required.
