Overview

Are you an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established, North West based independent civil and structural engineering consultancy that has built a strong reputation over 40+ years for delivering innovative and reliable solutions across the highways and rail sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their growing Liverpool city centre office and play a key role in delivering major bridge design, assessment, and inspection projects across the UK. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you\'ll lead and deliver a variety of bridge and structural schemes from concept through to completion, collaborating with a talented and supportive engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Managing bridge design and assessment projects across highways and rail.
• Reviewing and approving design calculations, drawings, and specifications in line with DMRB and relevant design codes.
• Conducting bridge inspections and structural assessments.
• Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers to help develop the next generation of talent.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in bridge design, inspection, and assessment.
• Strong working knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, and other key standards.
• Confidence in preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Chartership (CEng) or progress towards it would be an advantage, though not essential.
