Job Description

You will play a key role in the Sustainability team, driving projects and enhancing client relationships whilst maintaining a strong focus on identifying and developing new business initiatives.

Working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will provide first-class BREEAM and sustainability consultancy services to clients. You will work across various sectors and will have opportunities to assume greater responsibility and develop your professional skills over time.

Main Role and Responsibilities
  • Undertake BREEAM, Well, and Fitwel assessments.
  • Manage multiple projects on budget and within deadlines.
  • Act as a Sustainability Consultant and BREEAM AP, working with clients, design teams, and contractors to meet sustainability objectives such as BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel, and HQM.
  • Provide high-quality consultancy services with clear guidance and recommendations.
  • Assist in delivering sustainability strategies including benchmarks, statements, circular economy, and health and well-being initiatives.
  • Develop compelling sustainability presentations to contribute to the built environment sector.
  • Engage in continual professional development through reading, seminars, and in-house training.
Management
  • Monitor workload and report to line management.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, enhancing report writing skills.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain good relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain technical and operational information.
  • Keep project documentation current and organized.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members.
Health & Safety
  • Understand CDM Regulations, especially the Designer’s requirements.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or near misses.
  • Adhere to all H&S protocols and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor and/or BREEAM AP.
  • Relevant BSc or MSc in environmental or construction disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in building environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel, HQM).
  • Knowledge of building performance tools, including LCA, thermal modelling, daylight, and overheating studies.
  • Proven track record in client and project management within a consulting environment.
