Getting to know the Blocks brands inside out, you’ll apply your knowledge across a wide range of media: print, scripts, video, audio, apps, games and live events. It’s an exciting and expanding role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference, both to the brands and to the children who love and learn from them.

We are very happy to discuss flexible, hybrid and remote working options for all our vacancies. This opportunity is being offered on a permanent contract, and the successful candidate must be based in the UK.

Please note that this vacancy can close early if we receive a high number of applications.

  • Work with the Brand Lead to ensure that the Editorial Team creates clear, up-to-date guidelines and communicates editorial expectations to all partners and stakeholders, both internally and externally.

  • Under the supervision of the Editorial Director lead the creation of appropriate documentation across all Blocks shows, including playbooks, style guides, brand decks, spreadsheets, educational guidelines and more.

  • Undertake ad hoc editorial projects as needed, and as assigned by the Managing Editor.

  • Consult with experts and relevant staff to research and develop new ideas and content that is in line with brand needs.

  • Work with the Licensing Manager and Product Development Manager to help create a global portfolio of world-class products that embody the Blocks’ values. Contribute ideas for new products as needed.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and contributors, upholding best practice and brand missions at all times.

  • Work with the Digital Team and Content Editorial Manager, providing editorial support and direction and contributing to projects in development.

  • Create or contribute to all documentation, press releases and presentations as needed to promote the Blocks Universe.

  • Provide Blocks Brand and editorial training and support as needed across the business, working with the Content Editorial Manager and the Managing Editor to ensure that the Editorial needs of the company are met. Flag as appropriate any additional support needed.

  • Feed in to the Editorial Director, keeping them informed about editorial decisions across projects and the wider team.

  • Keep up to date with markets and competitors across all areas of the business.

  • As needed, contribute to script and concept development for new Blocks shows, along with the Content Editorial Manager.
