Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in Southampton is seeking a state registered Clinical Scientist to act as Medical Physics Expert for Brachytherapy Physics. You will lead the Brachytherapy Physics service, work with the Head of Radiotherapy Physics to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of HDR and LDR brachytherapy.

As a senior member of the Radiotherapy Physics Group, you will lead a small team, train staff and implement new developments and equipment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in brachytherapy is essential.
• State registered Clinical Scientist status required.
• Ability to lead and develop a small team within Radiotherapy Physics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Brachytherapy Physics service.
• Act as Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Brachytherapy.
• Collaborate with the Head of Radiotherapy Physics to ensure regulatory compliance and service delivery.
