Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper/Finance Manager to support clients in Liverpool on a part-time, self-employed basis. You will manage invoicing, credit control, supplier ledgers and month-end processes in SMEs, with two days per week onsite.

Experience in VAT, payroll (possible) and forecasting is valued. Role is ideal for someone already self-employed looking for regular client work in a flexible setup.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Finance Manager with SME experience.
• Self-employed with at least 2 days of availability per week.
• Experience in growing SMEs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and sales ledger management for clients.
• Credit control and debtor reporting to directors.
• Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management.
• Drafting payment runs for approval.
• Supplier reconciliations and bank postings.
• Expense and credit card management and reconciliation.
• VAT returns and payroll administration (possible).
• Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals and prepayments.
• Input into cashflow forecasts.
• Double-entry bookkeeping.

Senior Bookkeeper wanted for clients in Liverpool

About the Role:

The role is to work with our clients in their business, this could be within a variety of industries including professional services, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, construction, technology or media. We’re looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Finance Manager to look after the day-to-day accounting, streamline the accounting processes, and help move the business forward, on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Finance Manager with experience working in growing SMEs.

Ideally, you are already self-employed, with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

• Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
• Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
• Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
• Drafting payment runs for approval
• Supplier reconciliations
• Bank postings and reconciliations
• Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
• VAT returns
• Payroll (possibly) and pension administration
• Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
• Input into cashflow forecasts
• Double entry Bookkeeping

As this role is two days a week (self-employed basis) it could work alongside other client work

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
