This is a brilliant opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys a varied role with responsibility for both day-to-day accounts and supporting wider business operations.

What You'll Do
  • Manage daily financial transactions, including sales and purchase ledger
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records
  • Prepare monthly reports including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow updates
  • Post journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Manage and monitor credit control to ensure timely customer payments
  • Process CIS returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate financial data
  • Assist with preparing year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants
  • Provide cost and margin analysis to support project and operational teams
  • Contribute to improving finance processes and supporting system (Sage 200)
About You
  • Experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role (3+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, credit control, and VAT/CIS
  • Confident in preparing monthly accounts and reconciling ledgers
  • Proficient in Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable supporting both finance and operational staff
