Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Group Ltd in Manchester is supporting a growing, modern accountancy firm seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team. You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, combining hands-on bookkeeping with client contact and management reporting.

The role covers VAT, reconciliations, and producing timely financial reports, with opportunities for progression and greater client exposure. A friendly, close-knit team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally in a practice setting.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to explain financials clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of clients
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and management accounts
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports
• Liaise directly with clients and build strong relationships
• Help clients understand and improve their financial performance
• Support month-end processes and reporting
• Assist with onboarding and support more junior team members
