Rutherford Briant have an exciting new role for a Senior Bookkeeper to join a Top 100 Accountancy Practice in Spalding. This brand-new position offers plenty of clear opportunities for progression within the reputable and friendly firm. The company are offering both full time and part time positions and many benefits when joining them.

This job would suit somebody who is currently working as a Bookkeeper in Practice and is looking for a new environment and to progress further. This role is focused on dealing with Cloud packages for clients.

What you will do:

• Prepare bookkeeping on Cloud packages including Xero and QuickBooks for a varied client base
• Post and allocate bank transactions and bank reconciliations
• Raise sales and purchase invoices
• Maintain receivables and payable lists
• Post regular journals for payroll
• Prepare and review VAT returns and submit to HMRC
• Liaise with clients on any queries
• Liaise with more senior staff and the audit and accounts team
• Be flexible to work onsite at clients

What you will need:

• AAT Qualified or Qualified by experience
• Experience within an accountancy practice is desirable
• Xero and QuickBooks experience
• The ability to build relationships with clients
