Job summary

Tru Talent in Watford is seeking a Workshop Controller to lead the Bodyshop operations and keep daily work flowing. You will supervise the team, ensure high quality repairs and mentor colleagues to improve skills and efficiency.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in vehicle body repair, a focus on safety, and the ability to coordinate parts, stock and schedules in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle body repair and bodyshop operations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
• Excellent time management and multitasking in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations to hit performance and quality targets.
• Step in for Bodyshop Manager when needed.
• Provide technical guidance on vehicle body repair, panel work, refinishing, welding, alignment, and structural repairs.
• Carry out thorough quality checks to meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
• Manage admin tasks like ordering parts, reviewing job packs, and coordinating stock levels.
• Mentor the team to boost skills, efficiency and collaboration.
• Track progress, balance workloads and ensure on-time completion of jobs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a clean, safe, well-organised workshop.
