NHS Dumfries and Galloway seeks an experienced Clinical Service Manager – Blood Sciences to provide senior leadership across our Blood Sciences laboratory services within the Diagnostics Directorate.

The post is responsible for day-to-day operational management, performance, workforce, finance, quality governance, risk management and service improvement, with a budget of about £5.8 million and a large team of laboratory staff.

Qualifications

• Current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Significant knowledge and experience of laboratory services within an acute hospital setting.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience of managing performance, demand and capacity, service planning and workforce redesign.
• A sound understanding of quality governance, accreditation, risk management and relevant laboratory regulations.
• The ability to lead change, influence others and support continuous improvement in a complex healthcare environment.
