Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive new product development and improvements for hardware and disposable devices in biotech. You will lead from early specs through design, testing, validation and transfer to manufacturing, collaborating with the Product Manager and R&D Engineers in an on-site role.

Requirements include a degree in mechanical engineering and strong CAD skills; travel up to 20% and experience leading in an R&D environment are valued.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HND/HNC/apprenticeship acceptable.
• Significant direct work experience in an R&D environment.
• Experience leading through project management and/or design roles.
• Good understanding of 3D CAD design.
• Able to manage daily workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans with roles, resources and risk management.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through complex projects.
• Apply working knowledge of 3D CAD design to support product development.
• Ensure clear communication, including reporting progress to leadership.
• Drive effective problem-solving while fostering collaboration.
