Job summary

The Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is seeking a senior professional to lead Training for Biomedical Scientists in Blood Transfusion. You will manage registration and specialist portfolios, support Higher Specialist and Masters qualifications, apprenticeships, work experience and Certificates of Expert Practice.

You will share operational management of the department, help plan staff rotas, and work with Haematology and Blood Transfusion colleagues to maintain high standards of patient care.

Job description

The post holder will have managerial responsibility for Biomedical Scientists. They will be accountable to the Chief Biomedical Scientist in Blood Transfusion for the delivery of Training within the department including management of registration portfolios, specialist portfolios and support for higher specialist and Masters. In addition to supporting apprenticeships, work experience, Certificates of Expert Practice and other qualifications.

The post holder will have shared operational management of the department and will assist in managing the routine work and staff rotas for the Blood Transfusion laboratory in conjunction with the other Haematology and Blood Transfusion seniors.
