Job summary

St George's University Hospitals is seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Biochemistry team at St Helier Hospital. The post involves operating automated analysers, quality control, validation and authorisation of patient results within a modern, high-throughput pathology service.

Your role includes flexibly covering a 37.5-hour week, with opportunities to rotate across SW London Pathology sites and contribute to a 24/7 on-call service when required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
• Experience in Clinical Biochemistry workflows.
• Strong quality control and calibration background.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated biochemistry platforms with Beckman Coulter equipment.
• Process, validate and authorise patient results.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rota as required.
• Ensure compliance with SWLP procedures and accreditation.
