Responsibilities

• Delivering quality pathology services and participating in out-of-hours service coverage as required.
• Performing histology processes, including cutting, processing, embedding, and staining, with proficiency.
• Interacting effectively with consultant histopathologists.
• Maintaining full UKAS compliance.
• Performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, and reporting, including quality control.
• Keeping detailed records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables.
• Supporting the validation and assessment of new equipment and the development of diagnostic procedures to enhance patient care.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist at our Tunbridge Wells Hospital, you’ll bring relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment across various techniques. You’re also a natural communicator and team player, sharing our commitment to quality.

Responsibilities of a Senior Biomedical Scientist include:

• Delivering quality pathology services and participating in out-of-hours service coverage as required.
• Performing histology processes, including cutting, processing, embedding, and staining, with proficiency.
