To further enhance our Digital Delivery team, we are looking for a Senior BIM Technician with extensive Civils 3D experience to join us. Working on our key civil infrastructure projects in the UK, the successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and skilled CAD/BIM Technician responsible for preparing accurate 3D models and 2D drawings in compliance with internal and project CAD standards.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- You are proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD 3D modelling, with extensive experience in preparing detailed 3D models, utilizing tools and workflows; this includes a comprehensive understanding of points, parcels, surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and plan production
- Demonstrate a solid foundation in AutoCAD for producing clear, precise 2D drawings ensuring adherence to internal or project CAD standards and specifications, knowledge must include annotation, and other basic functions to maintain standards for drawing consistency
- Assist CAD Managers with quality assurance and quality control checks on team deliverables to maintain high standards
- Collaborate closely with other members of the Digital Delivery team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all outputs
- Maintain and organise project files and documentation following established filing systems and protocols
- Identify opportunities for improving CAD/BIM processes and workflows within the project team
- Assist and advise on project setup regarding software, tools, and processes
- Engage in training and development of colleagues and junior team members to enhance skills
- Support the Discipline Management Team in developing internal Civil 3D processes
- Maintain a positive attitude towards quality and team collaboration

Additionally, you'll have:
- Extensive experience with Civils 3D on UK infrastructure projects, especially geotechnical projects
- An HNC or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, professionally qualified to EngTech (MICE or TMIET)
- Deep understanding of Civils 3D and its application in large-scale infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of other software like Revit, Tekla, or Bentley OpenBuildings Designer
- Experience with Dynamo and/or Python scripting for automation
- Experience working with CDEs like ProjectWise and ACC
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting CAD/BIM quality control in the UK construction sector
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively
- Experience with UK BIM Framework and ISO standards for project delivery
