Job summary

HS2 Ltd. is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator based in Birmingham to coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across architectural, structural, civil and MEP disciplines.

You will manage model federation, clash detection, and BEP implementation, ensuring alignment with UK BIM standards. Highlights include coordinating model reviews, leading digital delivery workflows, and delivering final as-built data.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit; practical experience in model creation, modification, and coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in Navisworks Manage for model federation, clash detection, coordination workflows, issue management, and reporting.
• Understanding BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 information management principles.
• Knowledge of UK BIM standards, BIM Level 2 requirements, ISO 19650, and CDM 2015 Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM activities across Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP disciplines.
• Manage and facilitate model coordination meetings, workshops, and BIM coordination processes.
• Federate, review, and maintain the Project Information Model (PIM); close out clash reports and review comments.
• Conduct validation checks on design models for information compliance and agreed Level of Detail.
• Perform model reviews and clash detection using Navisworks; manage and track coordination actions.
• Support BIM Managers in implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), standards, and workflows.
• Lead integration of supply chain information into the BIM environment.
• Manage 4D construction simulation models to support planning and weekly work plans.
• Ensure model information supports setting-out works; liaise with surveying and site engineering teams.
• Support information exchange between internal and external project teams; contribute to digital delivery initiatives.
• Report BIM progress at Design Team, Contract Review, and Progress Meetings.
• Assist in developing and improving BIM workflows, templates, and best practices.
• Conduct training and workshops; support implementation of BIM software across the project.
• Make arrangements for final as-built model deliverables, including data files.
• Perform Stage 5 modelling on an occasional basis.
