Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Lead BIM coordination activities across multiple projects, ensuring accurate integration of AV systems, architectural elements, and MEP within federated BIM models.
• Oversee development and review of detailed Revit models, coordinated drawings, elevations, and technical documentation.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate model with Navisworks, resolving design conflicts with multidisciplinary teams.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, naming conventions, and QC procedures (ISO 19650 alignment).
• Support CDE management, document control, model versioning, and information exchange workflows.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers, Architects, MEP Consultants, Contractors, and clients to deliver BIM deliverables.
• Contribute to BEP development and project delivery milestones.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and libraries.
• Provide mentorship to BIM Technicians and junior coordinators.
• Monitor progress, report clashes, risks, and milestones.
• Identify opportunities to optimize BIM workflows and introduce automation.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordinator to lead and manage BIM coordination activities across complex technology and Audio Visual (AV) integration projects.

The Senior BIM Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and quality assurance of BIM models and technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.

Working closely with Design Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary models, identifying and resolving design clashes, and driving the implementation of BIM best practices across projects.

The role will also involve supporting the development of BIM standards, managing model information and deliverables, and mentoring junior members of the BIM/CAD team to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.

Role Responsibilities

• BIM Coordination & Management: Lead BIM coordination activities across multiple projects, ensuring accurate integration of AV systems, architectural elements, and associated mechanical, electrical, and structural infrastructure within federated BIM models.

• 3D Modelling & Technical Documentation: Oversee the development and review of detailed Revit models, coordinated drawings, elevations, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and technical documentation to support complex AV and technology integration projects.

• Clash Detection & Resolution: Conduct clash detection and model coordination using tools such as Navisworks, identifying design conflicts, managing coordination issues, and working with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective resolutions.

• BIM Standards & Quality Assurance: Establish, implement, and maintain BIM standards, modelling protocols, naming conventions, and quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and project-specific BIM requirements.

• Common Data Environment (CDE) Management: Support the management of project information within Common Data Environments, ensuring effective document control, model versioning, information exchange, and adherence to agreed project workflows.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal Design Engineers, Architects, MEP Consultants, Contractors, and clients to coordinate BIM deliverables, resolve technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of AV infrastructure into wider building designs.

• BIM Execution & Project Delivery: Contribute to the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), ensuring project deliverables meet agreed information requirements, coordination milestones, and delivery schedules.

• Revit Family & Library Development: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and standardisation of Revit families, BIM objects, templates, and shared libraries to improve modelling efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and support to BIM Technicians, CAD Engineers, and junior coordinators, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement in BIM capabilities across the business.

• Project Planning & Reporting: Monitor BIM coordination progress, manage deliverable schedules, attend design coordination meetings, and provide regular updates on model quality, outstanding clashes, project risks, and key milestones.

• Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities to optimise BIM workflows, improve model coordination, introduce automation, and enhance collaboration between design and delivery teams.

• Professional Development: Stay up to date with developments in BIM technologies, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and relevant industry standards, contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and technical capabilities.

Essential Criteria

• Familiarity with Dynamo or other BIM automation tools.
