Job description

I am delighted to be partnered with a Global law firm in their search for a Senior Billing Coordinator to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experience legal finance professional to join a great firm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of billing activities, including:

  • Uploading invoices via eHub and liaising with the ebilling team to resolve rejections and queries.
  • Responding to requests for billing-related information using Excel and firm-standard reporting tools.
  • Processing monthly personal disbursement invoices and submitting write-off requests.
  • Collaborating with partners to close matters and support accrual information requests.
  • Generating proformas and issuing invoices in line with client terms and discounts.
  • Managing invoice reversals and issuing credit notes when required.
  • Assisting with the application of unidentified cash receipts and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Reviewing and updating client and matter details in accordance with firm guidelines.
  • Handling time modifications such as transfers, edits, and narrative amendments.
  • Setting up matters for ebilling and coordinating with partners to obtain LEDES matter numbers.
  • Accessing and interpreting ebilling guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Responding promptly to queries in the London billing inbox.
  • Working closely with lawyers, clients, and administrative staff to provide accurate billing reconciliations and receivables information.

Requirements:

  • At least four years' experience in a billing role within a law firm or professional services organisation.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as 3E and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ebilling platforms (e.g. Serengeti, Collaborati) is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and work collaboratively within a team.
