WORKING LOCATIONS:

• Face to Face meetings around North West UK
• Some remote working from home
• Regular site visits around North West UK

SUMMARY

Established in 2018, this is now your chance to join us on an exciting high-growth journey, if you are a skilled Senior Bid Writer with experience in public sector tenders and are looking to significantly contribute.

As our Senior Bid Writer, you will be responsible for identifying, creating and managing bids, tenders, and DPS applications primarily focused on low-energy building projects. Your role will involve working closely with our management and technical teams to secure contracts for retrofit, low-energy building and decarbonisation projects across public, commercial and domestic sectors.

You will have proven success in winning bids for building projects, particularly those involving fabric energy efficient measures, low carbon heating systems and renewable technologies. Your ability to find opportunities, coordinate responses and ensure high-quality submissions will be key to continued growth.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Total Compensation Package up to £45,000 to £55,000 (Base + Benefits)
• Base Salary up to £40,000 to £50,000 (DOE)

THE ROLE:

• Identify and monitor bid, tender and DPS opportunities within the building services sector, focusing on sustainable building and retrofit projects across public, commercial and domestic sectors.
• Lead the preparation, development and submission of high-quality bid applications, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with management, technical teams and external partners to gather necessary information and create compelling, winning proposals.
• Maintain and update bid registers, track progress and manage deadlines to optimise submission success.
• Analyse tender documents, prepare pricing schedules and coordinate with finance and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
• Manage communication with clients and tender portals throughout the bid process
• Ensure continuous improvement of bid documentation and processes by incorporating lessons learned and feedback.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support strategic bis decisions.
• Contribute to company growth by maintaining a strong success rate of winning bids.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED:

• Proven experience in bid writing, tender management, and DPS applications specifically for building services projects across public, commercial, and domestic sectors.
• Demonstrable success in securing bids for sustainable building projects
• Strong understanding of the building services sector, with knowledge of retrofit, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive proposals under tight deadlines.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Proficient with tender management software and MS Office suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with management and technical teams.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements
• Previous experience in working with frameworks, DPS, or other public sector procurement vehicles is highly desirable. 5 years’ experience in the Building Services Sector
