Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to join the Kier Construction team in the North West, with hybrid working options at Salford or Speke. The role focuses on leading bids from inception, shaping opportunities and collaborating with senior management to optimise outcomes.

You will drive first-stage strategies, engage clients, and work with Business Development to secure preferred bidder status, across £10m–£100m+ projects in DfE, Local Authorities, MOD, MOJ, Higher Education and Life

Qualifications

• Track record in first stage bidding and two-stage procurement (≤140 chars).
• Understanding of ECI, framework, and negotiated procurement (≤140 chars).
• Ability to influence projects at concept/pre-design (≤140 chars).
• Commercial and technical awareness with risk, cost and programme balance (≤140 chars).
• Full driving licence (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Lead first stage bid strategy and positioning to differentiate Kier early in the process.
• Drive client engagement and solution development pre-tender submission.
• Collaborate with Business Development to secure preferred bidder status.
• Oversee transition from first stage to second stage and project mobilisation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
