Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Project Planner to build probabilistic schedules for multi-million-pound bid decisions, aligning BOM/SOW with DCMA criteria and ensuring no scope gaps. You will apply three-point estimating, Monte Carlo and EMV to defend bid/no-bid positions, maintain bi-directional traceability to RAID, and hand over baselined schedules to the Project Controller with clear briefing.

Strong experience with Planisware or Primavera P6, knowledge of EVM, and the ability to engage

Qualifications

• Requires significant experience building and maintaining complex, resource-loaded project schedules using Planisware, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of WBS/CBS development and alignment between planning tools and ERP/financial systems such as SAP.
• Practical experience with schedule health diagnostics, including DCMA 14-point analysis.
• Solid understanding of probabilistic risk techniques — three-point estimating, EMV, and Monte Carlo/QRA.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and PMB accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to engage across Commercial, Risk, Cost Engineering, and project leadership teams.
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, SC Clearance

Responsibilities

• Build and own bid-stage schedules—develop fully scoped, resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned to BOM/SOW, with no scope gaps and DCMA 14-point health criteria.
• Drive probabilistic analysis—apply three-point estimating and quantitative risk analysis (Monte Carlo/QRA) to produce defensible cost and schedule positions for bid decisions.
• Maintain bi-directional traceability—link schedule activities to RAID references and maintain estimated time impacts through the bid phase.
• Lead the ITO-to-execution transition—validate bid schedule against final scope and hand over baselined schedule and RAID data to Project Controller.
• Support change control during execution—re-engage for What-If scenarios to quantify CPT impact and EoT entitlement without altering baseline.
