Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to join the Network and Public Policy team, driving growth through tenders, renewals, and compliant submissions. You will own the bid lifecycle end-to-end, working with local authorities and public bodies to win profitable contracts.

You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, operations, legal and finance, run structured gates, manage pricing, and produce polished documents using Word, PowerPoint and InDesign. APMP qualification is a plus.

InPost is changing how the UK sends and receives parcels — and our network of lockers is growing fast, including into local authority and public sector partnerships. We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to lead the growth, tenders and renewals that keep that growth on track, working mainly with local authorities and public bodies, with room to flex into major contracts across other sectors. You'll own the bid lifecycle end to end and turn compelling, compliant submissions into profitable, deliverable business.

You’ll report to the Senior Public Policy Manager and sit within Network Partnerships / Public Sector, working closely with subject matter experts, operations, legal, finance and senior executives internally, and with public sector procurement teams, local authorities and industry bodies such as APMP externally. This is a company-wide impact role with no direct reports — full ownership of your bids, backed by a wide network of collaborators

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the bid lifecycle end-to-end, from RFP/ITT through to submission against strict deadlines, making bid/no-bid calls based on fit, win chance and resource.
• Monitor tender portals to spot relevant public sector opportunities early.
• Continuously drive new business opportunities with local authorities and public bodies.
• Write and edit persuasive, technically sound tender content, working closely with subject matter experts, operations, legal and finance.
• Run disciplined review gates (Red/Pink/Gold or equivalent) to sharpen content and catch errors before submission.
• Manage pricing input alongside finance, balancing competitiveness with margin.
• Produce polished, on-brand submission documents using Word, PowerPoint and design tools such as InDesign.
• Influence busy stakeholders to deliver accurate content on time while juggling multiple live bids.
• Spot and resolve compliance gaps or solution risks early, support clarifications, presentations and debriefs, and feed lessons learned into a reusable content library.
• Work in collaboration with the collective Network team supporting new strategic sales.

What We Need From You

• Experience bidding for lockers, kiosks, EV charging or similar street furniture contracts.
• Proven bid lifecycle management experience, from opportunity identification through to submission.
• Strong content writing and editing skills, with experience running structured review gates.
• Commercial acumen across pricing models, margins, cost structures and legal compliance.
• Confident document design skills in Word, PowerPoint and InDesign (or equivalent tools).
• Excellent stakeholder management, time management and risk management skills.
• Good working knowledge of UK public procurement, including the Procurement Act, social value and frameworks.

Nice to have

• APMP qualification or equivalent.
