TITLE

Senior Bid Manager (Remote)

INTRODUCTION

Our client is a long-established and innovative manufacturer in the construction and event accommodation space. As part of continued development across their commercial team they wish to hire an experienced Senior Bid Manager to develop a best in class bid management function.

LOCATION

Remote role, with 1 office-based day every 2 weeks average at Manchester and Merseyside offices.

THE JOB ROLE

The Senior Bid Manager role is pivotal to the continued development of our client's commercial team and a key hire for 202. This is a hands-on role that is expected to grow to include further responsibilities in 6-12 months.

  • Taking responsibility for the development of an efficient and effective bid management function within the commercial team. Partnering with senior internal stakeholders to drive process change and improvement, including technology investment. Establishing bid management structures, goals and shared KPIs. Identifying bid opportunities for team consideration, working with senior colleagues to assess viability. Initially taking responsibility for bid writing and delivery ahead of planned future team growth.
THE PERSON NEEDED

For the Senior Bid Manager role our client is open on sector experience, but is looking for a demonstrable track of bid management, bid writing and delivery.

  • Core experience in a related field e.g. Senior Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Senior Bid Manager, Head of Bids etc. The depth of experience and confidence to play a key decision-making role in shaping the bid management function across the group.
