Equans is looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Lead the planning, management, and completion of selection questionnaires and tender submissions across all procurement stages.
  • Draft, write, and coordinate high-quality bid responses that clearly address client requirements and position Equans for success.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to gather and share information that enhances bid quality.
  • Support and mentor Bid Writers, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Conduct site visits and stakeholder interviews to inform bid content and strategy.
  • Continuously improve bid processes and share best practices across the team.
  • Maintain and update a library of standard responses and assist with PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ensure all submissions meet company standards and are delivered on time.

Who are you?

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing social housing bids, ideally with a direct competitor.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Confident working independently and escalating issues when needed.
  • Familiar with bid portals and submission processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); InDesign experience is a plus.
  • Desirable: Degree in a related subject, APMP certification, or membership of a chartered institute (e.g., CIOB).
  • A background in graphic design, R&M, or new build bids would be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage complex, high-priority bids and deliver under pressure.
