This is a senior role within the bid team, managing and writing our larger, more complex and/or more strategic bids for a wide range of key clients.
You will:
- Project-manage bid responses, supporting a wide variety of subject matter experts and contributors to create their best work.
- Author clear, compelling, compliant responses that help us secure new logos, target clients and key accounts.
- Support colleagues across the business to upskill on managing and contributing to bids, to build our capability.
- Support your colleagues in the bid team with reviews and occasional escalations.
We’re looking for an experienced bid and proposal writer/manager to join our Bid Team. This is a hands-on role, with end-to-end responsibility for managing bid progress and for shaping and writing responses.
You’ll work with teams of subject matter experts to deliver compelling bids, proposals, and presentations that demonstrate how BJSS can go the extra mile for clients.
As the lynchpin of each bid, you’ll influence how we tell our story, approach requirements, and structure our responses.
You’ll join a close-knit team of bid managers, coordinators, and reviewers working together to achieve excellent results. When facing deadlines or needing advice, support is readily available.
The team also collaborates with the wider business to improve bid and proposal processes.
As a Senior Bid Manager, you’ll lead in this continuous improvement, handle queries, and model best practices.
About You
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Recent experience in a hybrid bid management and writing role, managing and creating content for formal submissions in the public and/or private sector.
- Experience within the technology sector, understanding the kind of work we deliver and roles at BJSS.
- Experience in related fields (e.g., professional services), allowing cross-industry idea sharing.
- First-class writing skills, capable of producing clear, persuasive, and well-structured prose.
- Experience questioning, researching, reviewing, evaluating, and challenging contributions to enhance responses.
- Leadership experience in managing large, diverse, and time-constrained bid teams.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at all levels.
- Proven responsibility for key initiatives and positive workplace impact.
