Senior Bid Manager – Barnsley
We have an exciting opportunity with a leading Main Contractor who are currently seeking a Senior Bid Manager to join their established team. Projects are within the Rail and Civil Engineering sectors. Within this role you will be working on Major Frameworks and will be Client facing so previous experience within a similar role required.

The Role
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that the written proposals elements of business and work winning opportunities are produced to the highest standard.
* Management and completion of prequalification & tender stage written documentation in conjunction with the relevant functions within the business.
* Manage/coordinate any written proposals requirements for Client’s Expression of Interest or inquiry questionnaires.
* Develop and produce answer plans for major bids to ensure response requirements and client objectives are fully captured, identified and communicated, and that a proposals strategy has been developed to address these requirements and objectives.
* Carry out answer planning and writing support with nominated technical authors.
* Check Tender Information for completeness.
* Ensure Client TQ’s and Tender addendum information is reviewed and dealt with in the written tender submissions.
* Produce/edit/review relevant document templates such as answer responses, CV’s and organisation charts.
* Comply with / Manage File structures / storage / printing / distribution.
* Review the employer’s requirement documentation and highlight discrepancies and key actions.
* Develop appropriate written proposals and responses in a timely manner.
* Attend prequalification and bid/tender meetings as required in order to identify the appropriate submissions and proposals requirements and the input required from key support functions.
* Coordinate written submissions and proposals input with others.
* Provide personal input into technical and descriptive writing for submissions, proposals and their supporting documentation.
* Be proactively involved in the review and editing processes for quality submissions.
* Attend and contribute to key tender launch, interim / progress meetings.
* Monitor tender feedback from the client ensuring that opportunities to improve the company’s success are acted upon for written responses.
* Assist, where required, any Client Post Tender question responses in a timely manner.
* Input into the post tender analysis process
* Work closely with the other functions in the department to develop and implement bid winning strategies from early in the tender process.
* If required, work with joint venture and supply chain partners to develop and coordinate quality submissions for major projects / framework bids.
* Ensure compliance in accordance with policies and associated procedures.
