Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to lead the GFO BI department in the UK, translating complex insurance data into actionable insights. You will own the analytics lifecycle from data acquisition to dashboards, enabling strategic decision making in a fast-moving market.

The role requires 10+ years BI experience in insurance, leadership capability, and expertise in PowerBI along with SQL and data modelling. A strong collaboration with underwriting, claims, and finance is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years BI experience within the insurance/financial sector.
• Proven track record leading BI teams or large-scale projects.
• Expertise in PowerBI and familiarity with Tableau and Qlik.
• Strong SQL proficiency and data modelling capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of underwriting, claims, and finance domains.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, CS, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the BI strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and BI developers.
• Design, build, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across financial systems.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and other stakeholders to identify analytics needs.
• Manage stakeholder communication, presenting insights and recommendations.
• Promote self‑service analytics adoption throughout the organization.
• Conduct advanced analytics, including predictive modelling and trend analysis.
• Oversee vendor relationships, tool licensing, and technology roadmap.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable business insights.
