My client is searching for a Senior BI Developer to take ownership of their reporting and analytics capability. This is a hands-on role where you'll bring structure, best practice, and direction to a maturing data environment within a growing UK law firm.

You'll be joining at a pivotal stage - early enough to influence how data is used across the business, with the backing of senior leadership and a collaborative data team.

What You'll Be Doing

Building intuitive Power BI dashboards from scratch using DAX and Power Query

Designing scalable data models and working with the engineering team on architecture

Creating reports that directly support legal, finance, and operational teams

Supporting the move to self-serve analytics and building data literacy across the business

Leading BI best practices, documentation, and governance

Mentoring colleagues and helping embed a more data-informed culture

Advanced SQL (including CTEs, optimisation, and performance tuning)

Proven Power BI experience - dashboard creation, visual storytelling, DAX

Strong understanding of data modelling and best practices

Data governance and security awareness, ideally in a regulated environment

Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and challenge where needed

Experience with Azure tools such as Synapse, DevOps or Databricks

Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data transformation

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Power BI deployment processes

Experience mentoring junior team members or supporting wider data teams

Background in legal or professional services (not essential)

Why Join?

Get in early and shape the BI and analytics function from the ground up

Work autonomously with support from a collaborative data engineering team

Opportunity to innovate and improve business processes through data

Flexible remote working and a clear career progression path towards senior analytics leadership
