As a Senior SAP BI Developer,you will work with the SAP BI Manager and other SAP Technical and Functional leads to deliver a cohesive SAP BI strategy, aligned to the wider Yorkshire Water IT Architecture and strategy in line with SAP best practice and recommendations.

Where you fit in:

Leading the sustainable and cost-effective provision of data developments which support business processes and services, you will work with a range of technologies across the SAP software estate, demonstrating extensive experience in SAP BI development.

You will work with other members of the SAP BI team taking the lead in projects and see developments through from requirements gathering to solution delivery.

Key aspects of the role:

• Developing solutions using SAP technologies to demonstrate potential new capabilities by keeping abreast of new developments via online sources whilst ensuring appropriate standards are adhered to.
• Work with SAP Security colleagues to ensure that all solutions deliver the appropriate level of security whilst minimising adverse effects upon the User Experience
• Provide technical leadership to review the impact of system fixes, patches, upgrades and decommissioningon the BI Landscape to minimise risks and ensure affective mitigating controls are established.
• Drive delivery of specified components as part of a capital projectand seek out capital efficiencies through innovative development & delivery methods.
• Proactively work with Technology Framework Partners to enhance the services provided by the technology, reduce costs, manage risk and build resilience whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory & statutory obligations, including Health & Safety and any other company obligations relevant to the Function.
• To demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for Kelda Group through the implementation of technology.

What Skills & qualifications you will need:

• A thorough understanding of how SAP systems / landscapes are structured
• Experience of working with SAP Development Technologies
• Experience of developing BI solutions using SAP ABAP CDS Views (Core Data Services)and SAP Fiori Elements
• Proven ability to prioritise & execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and ability to communicate this to all technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A solid understanding of SAP Solution Manager relating to Release Management & Incident Management.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Creativity and lateral thinking; proven analytical and problem-solving capability.

You will also benefit from having:

• 2-3 years experience of working technical knowledge gained in a complex or varied environment.

We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
