Job summary

Malloy Aeronautics Ltd seeks an engineer experienced in pouch cell integration to drive the battery platform design from concept to production at our Berkshire site. You will work across engineering groups, develop test plans, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver robust, high-performance packs for unmanned flight systems.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, hands-on battery pack experience, and the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (5 years UK residence).

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in battery pack design and cell integration.
• Hands-on experience with pouch cell design and packaging.
• Knowledge of thermal management for battery packs.
• Familiarity with laser welding and high voltage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical design of Malloy’s battery platforms from concept to production.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration issues and follow project plans.
• Develop test/validation plans and analyse data to refine pack design.
• Prototype and develop battery packs with novel technologies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely, fit-for-purpose parts.
• Produce technical documentation and build guides.
