Job summary

Ryanair Engineering is expanding its maintenance capacity and seeks a Base Maintenance Manager (Lead) to oversee base maintenance across six European sites. The role requires senior leadership to deliver performance, compliance and output for a growing fleet while coordinating remotely and traveling frequently to bases including Prestwick, Seville, Kaunas, Wrocław, Shannon and Hahn.

Reporting to the Head of Heavy Maintenance, you will manage Base Maintenance Managers, ensure MOE and Part-145

Qualifications

• Experience leading base/heavy maintenance teams in a Part-145 environment.
• Proven ability to manage distributed teams across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part-145 and MOE requirements.
• Track record of delivering operational performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across bases.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Base Maintenance Managers across the network to drive performance.
• Ensure maintenance is delivered and certified in MOE and Part-145 compliance.
• Maintain high safety, compliance, and workmanship standards across bases.
• Oversee manpower planning, resource allocation, and production delivery across sites.
• Ensure bases have facilities, tooling, materials and personnel to meet demand.
• Drive training, competency, and performance standards across maintenance teams.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure contractual and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with CAMO, suppliers and internal stakeholders on planning and defect resolution.
• Own safety performance including risk management and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve operational, safety and compliance issues network-wide.
• Ensure MOE and technical procedures are kept up to date.
• Provide regular reporting and escalation to Head of Heavy Maintenance.
