Chadwick Nott is seeking a Banking Associate/Senior Associate in Exeter to join a Top 100 UK law firm with a strong regional and national presence. The role involves handling a wide range of financing matters, building client relationships and contributing to business development.

The successful candidate will have 3–6 years PQE in Banking & Finance, strong drafting skills and a client-focused, proactive approach. The firm offers a supportive environment with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years' PQE in Banking & Finance.
• Confident drafting and negotiating finance documents.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
• Commercially aware and proactive with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of banking and finance matters including corporate lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance, development finance and project finance.
• Preparing and negotiating loan agreements, security packages and supporting finance documents.
• Advising clients on funding arrangements, refinancing projects and debt restructures.
• Collaborating with Corporate, Real Estate and Private Wealth teams on multi-disciplinary transactions.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Supporting the development of junior lawyers and contributing to team growth initiatives.
