Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to scale our Go microservices platform behind Autoscoring technology that powers real-time play and online competition. You will design REST APIs, implement scalable data models, and work with Kubernetes and CI/CD to ship features end-to-end while collaborating with frontend, hardware, product, and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Go, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD related expertise.
• REST API design, SQL, and microservices architecture familiarity.
• Experience with test automation including unit and end-to-end testing.
• Cloud experience with major providers; Git and Agile workflows.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building Go microservices running on Kubernetes.
• Building well-designed, scalable REST APIs.
• Creating and evolving database schemas.
• Writing automated tests and owning services through their production lifecycle.
• Working closely with frontend, mobile, product, and hardware teams to ship features end to end.
• Sharing knowledge through code reviews and pair programming.
