Job summary

Symphony is seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the MVV team, owning scalable server-side systems and collaborating across engineering. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and uphold CI/CD best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Key requirements include 7+ years of production experience with Java/Spring, TypeScript/Node.js, and strong DevOps skills in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git and Jenkins, plus cloud exposure in GCP/AWS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production software development experience.
• Deep Java and Spring Framework experience; enterprise microservices.
• Professional TypeScript/Node.js backend development.
• DevOps focus with containerization, orchestration and IaC tools.
• Cloud experience in GCP and/or AWS.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and delivery ownership.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and test scalable server-side microservices using Java Spring Boot and TypeScript.
• Lead CI/CD initiatives, with Jenkins at the center of automation.
• Collaborate with product management to define tech requirements and integrate products.
• Investigate production issues and document RCA to improve resilience.
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering standards.
