Apron is hiring senior backend engineers to scale the core product lines such as Bill Pay and Apron Card, ensuring fast, reliable financial systems. You will collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to ship new features from discovery to production.

We seek 8+ years of backend experience with Kotlin and JVM, plus strong PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure know-how. Hybrid work in London, stock options, and strong incentives are available.

Formación

• 8+ years of continuous experience as a backend engineer in a product-led, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with JVM-based languages, ideally Kotlin.
• Strong relational database design and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with security and scalable financial integrations is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Build and scale backend powering core product lines like Bill Pay and Apron Card.
• Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to ship features end-to-end.
• Design financial integrations prioritising security and speed.
• Mentor teammates and raise engineering standards across the team.
