You love Java. Maybe it was your first programming language, maybe not. Regardless, it is your favourite. You’ve worked with Java and its associated ecosystem extensively, possessing familiarity with all the ins and outs. Framework wise, you’ve been hands on with Spring Boot and you have experience of working with CI/CD pipelines. If you have had exposure to cloud and containerisation then that would be favourable.

Environment is low latency; 18,000 data points a second can hit the platform, software and systems. Exciting, right? In addition to this, you would have autonomy and ownership of your code. Build it, ship it, run it.

You’d join the backend team in a senior position, helping to bridge the gap between the strong junior and mid-level developers and the leadership team. Your advanced knowledge will help to set a standard of coding for the team to aspire to. Mentoring, code reviews, and paired programming will help bring them to your level.
