An incredible opportunity for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with advanced Go skills to join a prestigious tech client on a contract basis. This company is renowned for its engineering excellence, and they're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can take their distributed systems to the next level.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll work on mission-critical, data-intensive applications, taking ownership of the full software engineering lifecycle, including design, development, and implementation.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you'll leverage modern technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Kafka, and architect microservices-based solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will also be responsible for optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability, as well as participating in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

• Significant professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems
• Proficiency in Go / Golang and expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Experience with end-to-end software engineering, including system design and architecture
• Hands-on experience with complex, data-intensive applications
• A product-focused mindset and experience in technology-driven organizations or startups
• Knowledge of Kafka, Cassandra, gRPC, and microservices architecture is beneficial, as well as open-source contributions
