Job summary

Factor seeks an engineer to help build the core of its platform in London. You will ship backend features with a focus on elegance, scalability, and resilience, and design data and application architecture using TypeScript, Rust and AWS.

You will work in a senior team with ownership culture, applying AI tools daily to boost velocity and impact. Remote-work opportunities and flexible hours are offered as part of a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL and modern cloud architecture (AWS, serverless).
Track record designing clean, maintainable systems handling complex data and business logic.
Energy sector experience valued; comfortable in a fast-moving startup with ownership.

Responsibilities

Build backend features and services with emphasis on scalability, performance, and resilience.
Design and evolve Factor’s core data and application architecture (TypeScript, Rust, AWS).
Solve end-to-end problems from data ingestion and transformation to APIs and integrations.
Contribute to engineering standards, peer reviews, and design discussions.
Use AI to accelerate development cycles, testing and deployment.
