• Demonstrable commercial software development experience with Python backend services.
• Experience delivering production REST APIs with proper contracts, versioning and docs.
• Strong testing approaches: unit, integration, system and end-to-end, with CI/CD.
• Designing scalable, distributed architectures and cloud-based services.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and safe, effective usage.
• Ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud services, APIs and web apps using Python (FastAPI/Django).
• Design and build reliable REST APIs for apps, pipelines and AI workflows.
• Deliver complex projects with minimal supervision and take ownership early.
• Guide architectural direction to build scalable, highly available systems.
