Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in London to help build and scale backend systems for Voice AI solutions. You will collaborate closely with ML/AI engineers to integrate real-time AI capabilities into the core backend.

The role emphasizes ownership, autonomy, and delivering impact in a fast-growing environment. You will work on a modern stack including Go, Python, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes, with exposure to AWS and infrastructure tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating scalable production systems.
• Experience with Go and Python, plus broader stack familiarity, with willingness to learn.
• High ownership mindset; comfortable solving undefined problems in a small team.
• Desirable experience with real-time or latency-sensitive systems (streaming, telephony/SIP/WebRTC).

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate scalable backend systems integrated with ML/AI components.

The role will involve working closely with ML and AI engineers on integrating Voice AI solutions and ML pipelines with their backend core.

Tech stack you will be working with:

Go, Python, Postgres, Redis, NATS, Keycloak, Kubernetes, Istio, mTLS, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS, Terraform.

Key skills/experience required:

• Experience building and operating scalable production systems
• Experience with Go and Python, alongside as many areas of the tech stack, plus a willingness to learn
• High level of ownership - comfortable picking up undefined problems and driving them to done in a small team
• Desirable - experience with real-time or latency-sensitive systems (streaming, telephony/SIP/WebRTC, or similar)
