Job description

We are looking for talented software developers to join our team to develop software for the UK travel industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project lead to understand requirements and provide accurate effort estimations.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of the framework from scratch.
• Develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Conduct thorough testing of features and bug fixes to ensure high code quality.
• Review code written by other developers and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.

Your skills and experience

• At least 5 years of experience working as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience in object-oriented design, common design patterns, and modern development principles like SOLID and DRY.
• Experience in designing and building scalable, maintainable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proficient in containerizing applications with Docker and deploying to cloud environments (familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes is a plus).
• Good English communication skills.
