Job summary

Limitless is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and run large-scale backend services in Python on AWS serverless infrastructure, with a focus on reliability and scalability. Fully remote within the UK.

You'll collaborate with engineers, designers and product teams to turn ideas into reliable features, participate in code reviews, and help shape the engineering practices of a 28-strong, employee-first team.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python and track record of building and scaling large production systems.
• Hands-on AWS serverless experience and infrastructure as code (AWS CDK).
• Relational and NoSQL experience (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Self-directed and ownership of features end to end.
• Focus on user impact of your work.

Senior Backend Developer - Remote - £110k + Equity

Limitless has been exclusively engaged by one of the fastest-growing start-ups, building a first-of-its-kind enterprise security platform for the AI era.

The engineering and product team is now 28 strong and fully remote. They’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and run the large-scale, high-performance systems behind the platform. You’ll have a real hand in how it scales, how reliable it is and how the engineering team works as it grows.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining scalable backend services in Python on AWS serverless infrastructure
• Shipping quickly without cutting corners, backed by solid testing and clear documentation
• Reviewing code and giving feedback that raises the bar for the whole team
• Working closely with engineers, designers and product to turn ideas into reliable features

What they’re looking for:

• Expert-level Python and a track record of building and scaling large production systems
• Hands-on AWS serverless experience and infrastructure as code (they use AWS CDK)

• Someone self-directed who owns features end to end, from concept through to production
